Aymos Exemplifies Lavish Exuberance In Music Video For “Lyf Styl”, Featuring Mas Musiq

Zoomers have been unwavering in their pursuit of success through unconventional career paths. Our motto is: Start anything, achieve anything. Growing up with role models such as millionaire Tik Tok stars and Forbes-listed Amapiano producers, our generation is ambitious in ways that enable us to monetise our talents to pursue lavish lifestyles.

Amplifying the song’s theme of luxurious living, Aymos’ “Lyf Style” music video is a well-curated visualiser exemplifying the rising Amapiano star’s idea of a lavish life. From Aymos and Mas Musiq pulling up to a luxury saloon while smoking Robusto cigars to the paparazzi flashing camera lights at them on arrival, the music video is a classic illustration of the lavish lifestyle and stardom.

Aesthetics creatively embellish the visuals through pops of colour and the dopamine-esque decor in the video’s filming galleries. Aymos, in the video, uses a magenta-pink typewriter while dripped out in an all-white outfit and clout goggles. He later adorns electric-blue pants while carrying a matching stereo reminiscent of Braam street-wear culture. Aymos further flaunts luxury and aesthetics throughout the “Lyf Style” visuals with diamond jewellery. This is especially true for the Cuban-link neckpiece he uses to bedazzle while in a modish, all-black outfit towards the end of the music video.

The song’s lyrics “singama feleb, tweleb, ama influencer” allude to how zoomers have strategically exploited social media to gain traction and make their respective platforms lucrative. These lyrics are visualised through video models shooting social media content in the video’s earlier scenes. Various scenes also depict fans asking Aymos for selfies while he tries going about his daily life.

The picturesque visuals are in partnership with the luxurious white wine brand “Chateau Del Rei”, amplifying the video’s overall opulent theme. Aymos is shown drinking the canned beverage, a product of South Africa’s illustrious vineyards.

The “Lyf Style” music video is a visual representation of digital natives flourishing, despite not having gone the traditional route to success. It symbolises our intransigence against systematic conformity.
