Maskandi’s hottest asset Mthandeni SK teamed up with amapiano belle MaWhoo several months ago, with the intercourse of their creative minds birthing their collaborative single “Gucci”. After racking up millions upon millions of listens, the self-professed king of Maskandi released crispy visuals of the song in association with Swidi Films and Slowman Films, stoking the flames of his studio album, Impisi Iyalaya, which came out on the 29th of November 2024.
As a by-the-way statement of quality and opulent wear, the music video begins with igcokama elisha turning on a portable radio, with the camera zoomed in and focused not only on the details of the device but the finer Gucci patterns embossed on SK’s deep-blue T-shirt. Bolstering his reputation as an opinion leader in the disciplines of stylish yet masculine couture and debonair-ism, the opening frames depict the SAMA-winning star in a room with lush drapery and – yes, you guessed it – even more Gucci clothing.

The visuals progress with a non-linear sequence as another scene unfolds, supposedly in the morning, with a mokorotlo-wearing Mthandeni preparing himself for the day ahead with a cup of herbal medicine along with his companions, one of which has just finished administering uchatho to himself. SK then scatters his presence all over the streets with his Toyota Quantum, scouting for passengers, and beginning the hustle as the song formally begins.
MaWhoo’s guest appearance brings with it a sense of purpose for her partner in the song and comic relief. Sticking to the theme of lavish living, the crooner pulls up in a royal-black Mercedes G-Class, stepping out in red heels and Gucci fashion tailored to accent the chiseled frame of her skittle-shaped body that Mthandeni and his entourage begin ogling at.

Jumping around and peacocking his way into her heart, Mthandeni wins over the songstress with his charm and theatrics, with the “Kulula” singer officiating their connection by giving him one of her golden necklaces.
The story transitions to a landing strip with a pair of Ferraris waiting as SK and MaWhoo make their descent on a helicopter before they disembark and each one climbs into their own Italian machine.
A convoy of Quantums set the stage as the music video jumps to the Moses Mabhida Stadium, the outskirts of the facility lined with taxis before SK and MaWhoo arrive, igniting celebrations fueled by dancing and mingling, which serve as the ending.
